Legendary for its high concentration of salt and minerals, the Dead Sea is therapeutic and provides for a unique swimming experience. After some free time to swim, return to your hotel in Amman.

What people are saying about Capital Governorate Amman

Absolutely amazing experience, we would definitely recommend. We were a group of 6 people with our awesome guide Jafar (also famously known across the globe as Mr see you tomorrow!!). Jafar made the experience 100 times better with his humour, knowledge and kindness! Best guide we had. The tour started early in the morning - by about 10-11 am we were in Petra with 5 hours free to walk around the sights. This requires a certain amount of fitness and appropriate shoes and clothing. Then we headed to wadi rum just before sunset (again amazing). We had about an hour free time before dinner (delicious jordanian food). The next day we had breakfast at the camp, then 2 hours on the jeeps around the desert and then on our way to the Red and Dead sea. Beware that when we went they would only allow us to be 2 meters from the shore, claiming the beach is closed (but they had a sign it was open). Ladies also take toilet tissue with you as in a lot of the toilet stops we did there was no tissue.

We have the best tour guide, Abdullah, we could imagine for this type of experience. He was very supportive, informative and patient. In the 2 days we learned so much going right back into history and then relating to the present locations, absolutely amazing. The locations were as listing in the itinerary and enough time was spent for each stop. The Bedouin camp was a bit of a culture shock and maybe a bit more information about this accommodation and the options available should be provided. Despite this the camp was beautiful and very clean, just a pity we arrived in the dark and left early in the manning also in the dark, winter hours. Thanks to our tour guide everything turned out well. The highlight of Petra was amazing with our tour guide doing an absolutely brilliant job of explaining all the details before we reached the main ruins.

Apart from border crossing first time (politics meants guides couldnt be there for it) experience was amazing, and well worth the money spent, factoring in 4 great buffet meals of high and healthy varied standard, great accomodation, good tourist spots and not having to worry about timetable.

This is a once in a lifetime experience. But please. Take it from me. Do at least a three day tour. You need a whole day at Petra for sure.

highly recommended for solo traveler, good experience, everything was well organized
