Ercolano: Herculaneum Priority Entrance Ticket

1. Ercolano: Herculaneum Priority Entrance Ticket

Gain instant access to the ancient Roman town of Herculaneum with your priority entrance ticket. Herculaneum was buried under ash after the eruption of Mount Vesuvius in 79 AD but, unlike the nearby site of Pompeii, a lot of the town was preserved: roofs, beds, doors, food, and even 300 skeletons. Walk the cobbled streets of this UNESCO World Heritage Site and get a glimpse of what life was like before the devastating eruption. Marvel at artifacts that have kept their original form for almost 2000 years.  Explore intact buildings at your own pace, see well-preserved frescoes and imagine the daily rituals of those using the shops, public gymnasium, and public swimming baths that can still be seen today.

2. Ercolano: Skip-the-Line Entry Ticket with Audio Guide

Visit the ruins of Herculaneum! The Roman city of Herculaneum, destroyed and buried by the eruption of Vesuvius in 79 A.D., was brought back to the chronicles of history in the 18th century thanks to Bourbon explorations. Over time, the memory of the location of the ancient Roman city was lost, and it was not until 1710 that a farmer, Ambrogio Nucerino, digging a well to irrigate his vegetable garden, recovered many valuable marble fragments, which only later were understood to belong to the theater of the ancient city. A smart audio guide, directly on your cell phone, will guide you to discover the city's most important archaeological evidence.

What people are saying about Casa di Nettuno ed Anfitrite

Great experience albeit without tour. The ausio guide was informative enough. It was cooling and huge. A 'tour guide' approached me at the ticket entrance but I don't know how legitimate she is so be careful of that. You do need to deposit a form of ID at the audio guide counter to ensure that you return the audio guide back.

Arrived around 9am, no queues and very few people inside, very interesting site, a couple of hours is adequate to see it. It's a different experience to Pompeii. Worth visiting. As an aside, the "food court" is a room with a bunch of vending machines, having said that, the coffee was still good (it is Italy after all).

it was very easy to book online and though it wasn't busy when we visited it was great to bypass the queue at the entrance desk. Herculaneum is an amazing piece of archaeological research offering a pretty unique insight into the town before it was buried in tonnes of ash

Amazing place to visit. So much to see and enjoy. We had an audio guide which was easy to use and very informative.

Very good experience and also audio guide for kids was available! Fantastic!
