    Travel to the Contrada Sciaranuova winery on the northern side of Etna, surrounded by oak, chestnut and olive groves, and by remnants of the volcano's previous devastation. See the varieties of grapes that this harsh climate produced like Carricante, Nerello Mascalese, Nerello Cappuccio, Pinot Noir, and Riesling.

    Tour the ancient buildings of the estate and visit the rolling vineyards.
