This tour had pros and cons. Pros We were picked up from our hotel and driven to the top of Mount Etna. The wine tour makes it with the money- you are given 4 wines, so much food, and a spirit tastings as well. Cons Our guide had a great attitude and was very friendly and knowledgeable, but at the top we were offered a few options about seeing Mount Etna. The only free one was trekking/hiking. All others (cable car, 4x4, quad bikes, biking) cost 40-70 euros more. We chose hiking and just walked around the mountain, didn’t see any craters, etc. The “cave” is maybe 5 minutes behind a rock. Cave is a generous term. I would say budget accordingly and choose one of the other options, do not hike if you are actually wanting to see the volcano. We can’t speak for how good they are, but we wish we had paid the money and done one of these things.

Andrea was amazing! You could tell he genuinely loved the area and his job, and ensured everyone was comfortable and well attended to. Be warned: you will be stuffed full of amazing food and wine! We had a great day and wouldn’t hesitate to recommend this tour to friends.

We had the BEST time on this all-day tour! Loved our passionate and knowledgeable and funny guide, Simone! He made the trip GREAT! We will always remember the fantastic time we had at the top of Mt Etna, and the lovely lunch with wine tasting. Simone had many stories to tell and great recommendations for restaurants and bars for us to visit. We promised him we'd come back to Sicily as this was an absolutely fabulous day!
