Good itinerary given the restrictions due to volcanic activity - knowledgeable and friendly guide - walking at an easy pace Only improvement I can suggest is clearer instructions on the meeting point and process - both myself and others were unsure as to where the meeting point was - it’s in the lower car park under the La Terazza dell Etna restaurant

We loved the hike. We were offered to do the hike in the evening and it was superb with certainly fewer people and more calm than for the morning. The trek closer to the active peaks of Etna is worth the detour. The organizers have equipment available for loan (windbreakers, shoes, headlamps, walking sticks). Our guides Marco and Massimo were great, very nice, with very interesting explanations and adapt well to the level of hikers so that the pace is not too difficult. They are available to give good advice. Definitely one of our best moments of our trip to Sicily.

This was an amazing tour, really well-organised in tricky weather conditions. We managed to get a full and varied experience of Etna before the guides skilfully got us down just before some pretty horrendous storms (thunder, lightning, hail) descended. The guide (Marco?) was extremely good - articulate, considerate, informative, experienced, and knowledgeable - with a good sense of humour and a great way with the kids in the party. We saw a very nice range of Etna's many faces and views, had good explanations of its geology, history, and recent events, and the pace of the walking was spot on. This was not an easy walk, and we were in bed early that night, but we wouldn't have missed it for the world. After spending the previous day body rafting in the Gole di Alcantara not far away (amidst more thunderstorms) we felt we had really begun to understand the magical Etna region. Forza Sicilia!
