This underground city were excavated by early christians and expanded in 800 years! This caves used by Christians to defend themseves from religious persecution.It is a UNESCO site and opened for visitors in 1964! I pick you up from your hotel and go to underground city! Get picked up from your hotel around 9.30-10.00 in the morning in a comfortable, private vehicle. Drive around the beautiful landscape and visit local vineyards where thebest grapes of the region grow. Learn from the winegrowers themselves about the local grapes and wine making processes. Pick your own grapes in the vineyard and get some fantastic photos of the unforgettable experience.  Then, head to the largest winery in the region, the Turasan Winery. The day’s itinerary includes visits to Khor Virap Monastery, Areni Winery and Noravank Monastery situated deep in the Noravank Canyon. Once you get to Khor Virap, you will stop to admire and take photos of the spectacular view of Mount Ararat, the national symbol of Armenia. You will then continue to the winery in the village of the Areni, where you can try delicious Armenian wine and take a few bottles with you. Due to its charming medieval architecture and magnificent landscape, the Noravank Complex is a must see when in Armenia.

The tour starts early in the morning at 7:00 am. After breakfast, you'll be on the road. The first destination is Khor Virap which is the closest stop to mount Ararat. First we will take a half an hour hike in the valley . Then we will go to the underground city, which was used as a hotel 4000 years ago. The next point will be the pigeon valley and Uçhisar village.
