Make an early start to Horton Plains National Park at 06:00. This is a UNESCO World Heritage Site where you'll take a guided walk along the nature trails to a viewpoint known as World’s End. A variety of wildlife including endemic Rhino-horned and Hump-nosed Lizards, highland bird species including the Sri Lanka White-eye, Dull-blue Flycatcher, Sri Lanka Bush Warbler, Yellow-eared Bulbul may be encountered. Also keep your eye out for troops of Bear Monkey, and Sambar (Sri Lanka’s largest species of deer) which are regularly seen in the plains close to the entrance. You will continue your journey up to Bakers waterfalls.  Leave Horton Plains & arrive at Nuwara Eliya for the lunch at Summer Hill Breeze.  After lunch you will be taken to Visit a Tea Plantation and a Tea Factory. Visit a Tea plantation and a Tea Factory. Ceylon Tea is the most famous tea in the world. Today more than 200,000 hectares in highlands and other areas are under Tea and around 300 million Kilograms, with a 25% of world tea exports are done by Sri Lanka as the World’s largest Tea exporter. On completion, you will be dropped at your hotel.

You'll begin your tour as the locals travel, with a tuk tuk ride through the tea plantations, driving past with beautiful scenes of lush fields. As you ascend through the winding roads to reach the highest point of the valley at Lipton's Seat, you'll look down to see amazing views over the tea plantations. The Lipton's Seat viewpoint is a fantastic photo opportunity, where you can take a photo with the statue of Lipton himself. Next, you will visit the longest-operating tea factory in Sri Lanka. The Dambetanna Tea Factory was built in 1890 by Scottish tea baron Sir Thomas Lipton. The factory tour will give you in an in-depth look at the entire tea making process. Finally relax in the middle of the tea fields with a typical Sri Lankan lunch and enjoy the stunning surroundings, before you return to your hotel via the tuk tuk transfer.

Visit the Ramboda Falls and a Tea Factory with a guided tour through a tea estate and learn more about the varieties, processing methods and qualities of tea. Later go on a scenic tour in Nuwara Eliya City, the highland city that was the premium holiday resort town of the British in the 19th and early 20th centuries.  Enjoy walking through the streets with their pretty little cottages, quaint villas and beautiful mansions. Make memories in the old red-bricked post office and relax at Queen Victoria Park or on the shores of Lake Gregory. Visit the beautiful Horton Plains National Park in Ohiya, with its montane grasslands and cloud forests. Enjoy the majestic views from the precipice of World's End and the cooling sprays from Baker's Falls. Catch glimpses of the many endemic fauna that make their home in the plains. Get to know more about the archaeological finds that were discovered in the area.

Receive an early-morning pickup from your hotel in Kandy, after which you’ll journey for one hour to reach Taylor Hill, site of the Loolkandura Estate. Start your visit by learning about the estate’s origins, including its creation by planter James Taylor. You’ll spend the next several hours visiting the many highlights of the plantation created by Mr. Taylor, including a favorite chair once used by Taylor himself, a statue erected in his honor, and a log cabin the planter once called his home. You’ll also tour the Loolkandura Tea Factory, which still packages tea to this day, and see the weighing stations where the fresh leaves are brought in from the fields for processing. You’ll be dropped off back at your Kandy-area hotel at the end of a wonderful day explore the history of tea.

Meet your cycling guide in Kandy in the morning and get ready for a scenic bike ride through the mountains. Visit and explore the Ceylon Tea Museum in Hanthana. Discover the abandoned Hanthana Tea Factory, built in 1925, which now houses the museum. See two floors full of tea processing machinery as well as some older equipment used through the ages in Sri Lanka. Visit the library on the third floor where you can read up on the history of Ceylon Tea. Enjoy a fresh cup of hot tea at the cafe. Embark on your bike down a trail that winds through the plantation. Take in wonderful views of bright green tea against the backdrop of distant mountains.
