Lucerne is beautiful but getting the boat, then rail is so easy to get to the top of Rigi and it's well worth it for the views and fresh mountain air. We walked back down to the cable car and you do feel closer to the mountain doing that.

We made use of the Swiss Travel Pass. It was amazing. The ticket arrived right and fast. And great value. I recommend

Worth a 2-week journey as we used the trains a lot. Also it works as a museum pass as well.

We enjoyed the views and the excellent food and service!

The guide was more than enthusiastic and knowledgeable!
