What people are saying about Chamarel

There’s a couple of hiking excursions you’ll see around but this one is IT. I cannot even explain it in words to justify how this one is definitely a must thing to do whilst in Mauritius. The view is just breathtaking and worth waking up early in the morning — no other people apart from us in terms of traffic and all photos are just spot on because there’s no noise in the background. The experience was made entirely exceptional by our guide, Bryn, who gave us exclusivity of the place and when you do it, you’ll know how and why. He had climbed major mountains in the world so you’re definitely in safe hands — take it from me who has only done basic trails (more like walks really). He had a very personal touch to the tour — from the island’s history to his nuggets of wisdom. I couldn’t have really asked for more and there’s no way it could get better than this. So better make sure you book this one and you won’t regret it!

The climb itself was a little bit tricky, but in the end, it was all worth it. The view from the top was spectacular and absolutely breathtaking. And the tour guide, Bryn, was fantastic, too. He motivated all of us to the very end, cheered when we reached a peak, was happy when we pushed ourselves through situations we didn’t think we could overcome. He is passionate about his work and his life in Mauiritius. All in all, it doesn’t matter if you have fear of heights, you can do it! The view from the top will be a huge reward for you. Ps.: try to go in for it on a sunny day! When it rains, it can be very difficult, and it is not recommended at all.

Great experience! Professionally organized and Bryan took great care of all the participants, telling very interesting stories all the way to the top. He also took many amazing pictures of all of us from all sorts of angles :)) It was great we started super early so we avoided hiking in a heat (it gets up to 40 degrees up there pretty quickly). Would recommend to anyone!

The most amazing experience with the most amazing guide. Such a pleasure to have Bryn as our guide, and allowing us to experience Le Morne ‘business class’ as he put it! Would recommend this to anyone in a heartbeat. Bryn, thank you for a truly memorable experience. Memories to last a lifetime.

One of the best trips ever. Breathtaking view! Best tour guide ever! This trip is a must have, if you visit Mauritius! Thank you, Bryn!
