You will then head to the sacred lake of Grand Bassin, the most important place of worship for Mauritian Hindus and make a short drive to the Black River Gorges and stop at the Black River View Point, to see the island’s endemic flora and fauna. Take a winding drive to the southwest corner of Mauritius, and enjoy the drive through Macondé Bridge for panoramic views across the Baie Du Cap River.

I had a very amusing ride with the driver. We stopped very often, he explained everything to me very well and often helped me out with photos. All very friendly and highly recommended. The food was delicious too. There was never any time pressure. If you want to learn more about the country and the culture, then I can absolutely recommend this trip.
