After finishing your boat ride, head over to Chiapa de Corzo, once the first colonial city founded by Spanish conquistadores, and now a typical Mexican town with a selection of great regional cuisine. Great day out from Tuxtla. Managed to see a family of spider monkeys and baby croc. Not many croc today because it was a bit cooler. But that didn’t matter because the scenery was the star of the show. Great to have an English translator for the tour. We even managed a ride to San Cristobal de las Casas at the end of the day with one of the other groups.

It is important to mention that I chose to contract this activity with the Get Your Guide provider, although it was more expensive than other providers because the description mentioned the boat tour and it was on a boat like the rest. Otherwise it is a good activity.
