I am a lover of the many mediums used for art. I had finally had my first trip to Chicago to visit my best friend of about 22 years. The Art Institute was the no. 1 place I was wanted to see while there. I came across this app and downloaded it. We each got our entry tickets this way. When we arrived there were many people in line to get there tickets. However because we used this app we were able to walk straight through the lobby, not even going to the line for those purchasing tickets, we presented our phones and with a quick swipe we started our walk and inspiration gripped me immediately. For any art lover, you will not be disappointed with The Institute. This app let me start viewing masterpieces without the haste of waiting in line. The ticket price was also a great deal.

The Art Institute of Chicago is a must to any traveler to the windy city. Lots of worldwide Artworks set up in a very intelligent way. Nothing to envie to MOMA or Louvre. Particularly amazed by the temporary exhibition of Bisa Butler that I visited the day before closing. What a chance to see this anthology of her artworks. I highly reccomend to take a visit to this museum and enjoy the sensibility of human arts.

It was just great to get out again. I’m sure it is a world class art museum. I found it hard to navigate through it even with a map. Once in the galleries it was hard to tell where I was due to lack of signs. This was my first visit and it is a large place. My advice is to pace yourself. It will really help when restaurants are open. I had to leave to be able to take a break. Plenty of open spaces and restaurants in the area. Allow at least four hours or perhaps two visits over two or more days.
