This was a fun adventure for me and my two kids, age 5 and 8. The 5yo is too young to appreciate the commentary so he and I played uno most of the time inside the boat. My 8yo thought our guide was the funniest person alive and really enjoyed herself.

I haven't been back to Chicago in 45 years, since I left after one year at Northwestern. I was a poor student and overwhelmed with my school work, and so had no real experience with Chicago. We took this cruise to remedy that lack of experience. We were very glad we did. It was a beautiful day and a good trip. we learned a lot about Chicago that we didn't know. Everything about the cruise was enjoyable and informative and well worth the money. If I had any complaints at all, they were very minor, and reflect me, not the cruise. There were too many encouragements to take advantage of the bar on board. And our tour guide was just a bit too chatty for my taste. But apart from that, I highly recommend the cruise. That's why I gave it five stars.

Our loading was delayed 45 minutes due to a problem at the lock. They did a good job keeping is informed and even handed out a snack and water. You have to have patience to do this trip because you will sit at the lock waiting going into Lake MI and leaving
