Namiseom, Petite France, Garden of Morning Calm & Rail Bike

1. Namiseom, Petite France, Garden of Morning Calm & Rail Bike

Meet your friendly coordinator at your preferred meeting point in Seoul and hop onto the comfortable tour bus with other travelers as you head to Gapyeong City. During the ride, be briefed on the details of the tour by your knowledgeable coordinator. If you select one of the options including the rail bike experience, drive to the rail bike station to enjoy riding along an old train track in the beautiful countryside, that has been converted into a serene rail bike track. Continue to The Garden of Morning Calm, a stunning garden that attracts families, friends, couples, and photographers with a variety of festivals held there throughout the year. Try some local food at the restaurants nearby. If you select the lunch add-on at check-out, you can try the region's signature dish, Dakgalbi (Korean style spicy chicken) and fried rice, served with water and soft drinks. Next, set off for Namiseom, a beautiful, well-known destination in South Korea. Explore the half-moon shaped island, which has very attractive landscapes and was used as the filming location for the famous Korean drama, Winter Sonata. Stroll around at your own pace to discover the island. Then, head to Petite France to see the vibrant French village that stands out with its brightly colored buildings. The French village consists of exhibition halls, restaurants and cafes for you to explore and also many photo-worthy sites that feature many famous Korean dramas and variety shows. After your journey, enjoy a hassle-free and comfortable ride back to Seoul.

What people are saying about Chuncheon-si

It was more than I expected. The garden of morning calm was spectacular. I expected less from the petite france but it was rather large when including the board walk that lets you see the sunset in the mountains. The guide was so kind and considerate the whole time. He always made sure everyone was happy. At the end of the day he even helped me find a quicker way back to my lodging. Really superb. When there was some traffic coming back into Seoul he was so sweet and apologetic even as the old Korean lady kept bickering at him to take a different route. He was smiling and friendly.

We booked this on a whim, so we weren't expecting much. The tour was quirky (i.e. the petite france theme park) but overall the experience exceeded our expectations! We loved Nami Park but probably would have ditched the Theme Park in favor of more time there. The final stop at the garden was amazing and definitely an unexpected highlight.

Our tour guide Grace lives up to her name! Very approachable and super nice. We are a family of four including a one year old; she went above and beyond with the tour and even helped me with my baby. I am grateful to have met her. Thank you for the experience.

Our guide was great! He was very helpful and knowledgeable about each site we visited. Each place was different and unique. A lot of photo opportunities!!
