Our guide Carlos picked me up on time and as arranged. He is fluent in several languages. I had been nervous about driving up the mountain sides but Carlos drove to our comfort level and the van was comfortable and cool and only 8 of us. We heard lots of history; cultural, geological, historical and political. Because we were visiting high ancient villages you need to expect some stairs and uneven pavement. Carlos arranged for passengers with mobility issues to hitch a ride on a tuk-tuk at Savocca but I don’t know if that is usual for the tour. I enjoyed the pasta and wine lunch. We had quite an appetite by that time. I had a nice day, learned alot and was able to enjoy the splendid views near Taormina. Thanks to GYG and Carlos.

As a fan of the films seeing some of the filming locations was amazing. Even if you're not a fan or haven't seen the films the locations you visit are beautiful. Two hilltop villages near Taormina (not the town of Corleone). The guide was knowledgeable about the filming and the Sicilian mafia in general for some context. The group was only 8 and we left at 10 to beat all the tour buses which made for a peaceful trip. The Sicilian lunch was lovely too.

The tour was fantastic, Carlos was a terrific guide, informative, witty and extremely knowledgable. I highly recommend this tour to any film fans out there! The Sicilian lunch was also delicious and changed my opinion on aubergine.
