What people are saying about Column of Phocas

Absolutely amazing tour. We spent the afternoon with Dennis in the sunshine. I really liked the time of day we spent exploring the coliseum as we got to watch the sun come down towards the end of the day. Dennis was so knowledgeable, friendly and helpful, answering everyone’s questions with vigour and enthusiasm. It was very obvious he has extensive knowledge of Rome and being a ‘Roman from Rome’ made this even more impactful. I think the headsets are a great addition to the tours as you can really hear all of the details and small points made walking all of the way around. Do not hesitate to take this tour if you like to walk and explore many different areas of Ancient Rome.

The visit was spectacular. I recommend purchasing a guided tour. Without such support, we often just go for a walk and take pictures. If we want to learn a little more, we have to visit accompanied by a qualified guide. That's what happened to us and I'm glad we made that choice.

Engaging and fun guide, made the experience very enjoyable ajbdwas also very informative! As a few in the group could attest, it is a nice long walk, so remember a water bottle and stay hydrated.
