Full description

Explore Boston’s sordid past on this “frightseeing” ghost tour of Boston. Prepare yourself for an evening of fun, scares, and ghost stories guided by a 17th-century gravedigger. Your tour guide is dying to tell you tales of Boston’s dead in their own unusual way. On this tour visit the streets where the Boston Strangler once prowled and hear local tales of murder and mayhem, ghosts and ghouls. At Copp’s Hill Burying Ground and Granary Burying Ground, depart from the trolley and explore Boston’s two oldest burying grounds on foot.

Be warned, you never know what kind of ghoulish creatures you may encounter as you explore the gravesites of John Hancock, Paul Revere, Samuel Adams, and others. Travel back in time and learn about the spirits of notorious characters who lived and died in Boston.

My wife and I booked this tour last minute (as we were visiting Boston on a very last minute whim). Everything about this was amazing. Our tour guide, Betty, was beyond phenomenal; she was knowledgeable, entertaining, creepy (in the best way) and engaging. You could tell she loves her job. It was freezing and pouring, and we still had the best time doing it. Betty did her best to keep us in the driest parts of the cemeteries, but honestly we would have stood knee deep in water to partake in this again. We cannot recommend this tour more highly. We will 100% do it on a future visit again. I’m so happy my wife convinced me to do this.

If you want to learn the history and the reasons that generated certain events, it is best to do it on a very fun tour where you also learn about the origin, the reason for certain events. The guide was very knowledgeable and funny with his tales of the illustrious dead and ghosts. I loved.

    Spooky and Fun

The guides were very informative and funny. The tour stops at two cemetery’s with a bit of witch craft and murder talk along the way. Beware if you take the 9pm tour, it’s dark in the cemeteries and you can take photos and can’t really see the path. Might take a small flashlight if you don’t like walking on cobblestones in the dark.
