Tossa de Mar: PADI Discovery Scuba Diving

1. Tossa de Mar: PADI Discovery Scuba Diving

The "try dive" is an activity recommended for beginners in scuba. The entire experience lasts three hours, the first 35 minutes of which will consist of a briefing on how the equipment works, how to communicate underwater using hand signals, and how the tour will go. Afterwards, get kitted out in the provided wetsuit and boots in the changing room. Once you are ready, hop in the van for just five minutes and prepare for the fun to start. Because the dive site is directly connected with the beach, you'll be enjoying a shore dive off Mar Menuda Beach.  When you get to the water, your guide will break up the activity step by step, and you'll have plenty of time to get used to each one at your own pace. Starting from the beach makes everything easier, especially for your ears as you'll have more time to get used to the pressure. Stay under the water for about an hour — this, of course, depends on you, because the more nervous you are, the faster you breathe, and the quicker you'll go through the air in your tank. During the dive, your guides will snap some photos/videos, so you will have a souvenir from the activity.

L'Estartit: Try Dive and Snorkeling in Montgrí National Park

2. L'Estartit: Try Dive and Snorkeling in Montgrí National Park

Meet your instructor, who will start with a safety briefing and introduction to diving to prepare for your first underwater drive. Hop on a diver's boat and sail out to the stunning coast of the Montgrí, Medes Islands, and Baix Ter Natural Park, an excellent spot for beginner divers' first dive. After you have become familiar with the necessary breathing techniques, begin your first dive, guided by a qualified instructor, who will accompany and help you during the whole activity. Spend up to 20 minutes exploring the tranquil underwater world and seeing a huge variety of marine wildlife.  Then, enjoy some time snorkeling around the area by yourself, spotting more fish in the protected waters of the national park, before you get on the boat back to the harbor in L'Estartit.

We took our scuba dive excursion on Tuesday, Feb 21, 2023. We arrived prior to 10 AM opening. February is considered low season so all attention was on us. The owners greeted us with smiles and shared our enthusiasm for this awesome experience. Equipment was in good shape. As first timers to scuba diving, they work with each individual to succeed. I mean this! Even during the time underwater, Pep guided my sons and I with equipment issues. Meanwhile, Mark did a wonderful job on leading the group, allowing us to explore various rocks and schools of fish. We were able to see an octopus cuddled in the rock formations. Having 2 experienced divers with our small group of four was very comforting and helpful! My sons were age 14, 12, and 9 years old. All had a fabulous time! Mark, our guide, takes pictures all along the excursion. Can't wait to see them! These are memories that will last forever... if given the opportunity, I would definitely recommend this company!

My first experience with scubadiving but definitely one of the most amazing experience, from the trip with Matias , with the training we had with the instructor Georgina which mad everything much more enjoyable as i was hesitate at the beginning, then the lunch at the local restaurant was another memorable experience, definitely will come back and explore further and highly recommend this tour guide.

Great treatment, super attentive, one monitor for every 2 divers, they canceled us on Saturday due to visibility problems and poor sea conditions and they moved us to Sunday without any problem.

It was awsome, my instructor Christian was really helpful & instructed me thoroughly throughout the activity. Had a great first diving experience.

Was brilliant, went pretty deep and saw some interesting creatures
