Escape the hustle and bustle of Barcelona on a full-day tour of the Costa Brava. Travel north up the coastal highway to Blanes, the gateway to one of Europe’s most beautiful coastlines. Depart Barcelona early to see one of the few remaining coves still free from the crowds and big commercial developments along the coast, and to enjoy the beach on your own. Enjoy a secluded swim in the crystal clear waters. You have the option to stay on the beach for the next two hours, or leave the sand for another day and go to the famous botanical gardens. You may even find time to do both. Next, enjoy a typical Mediterranean lunch in a local restaurant. Your feast will start with a selection of traditional local dishes and a glass of Sangria, followed by a choice of main courses. All the dishes in this family owned restaurant are lovingly handmade and they have built a deserved reputation as one of the best kept secrets in town. Continue along the coast to Tossa de Mar, the last remaining preserved fortified town on the Costa Brava. Walk along cobblestone streets to the lighthouse for a stunning view of the coastline. Wander back down through the old town, and discover a maze of narrow streets lined with traditional whitewashed houses and shops.  Enjoy an hour to soak up the atmosphere and purchase souvenirs from the local craft shops. If you've not had enough of the water, you have one last chance to take a dip beneath this historic town, or even rent a kayak for a quick paddle under the cliffs.  After a couple of hours exploring Tossa de Mar you will head back to Barcelona.

Explore the Empordà region, where there are vineyards all over the landscape, taking advantage of the slopes of the Albera mountains. As you tour the countryside, you will be able to taste locally-made sausages, anchovies, olive oil and cheese.  You will visit boutique wineries with an exclusive production. The owners will be present to explain all about the process of making wine. In guided visits to the cellars, you will be able to see how they combine tradition with new technologies. At each winery, you will be able to taste a selection of their best wines. You’ll also have the possibility to stroll around the vineyards and see how the grapes grow.

Discover your own creativity and enjoy a day full of art and gastronomy. Meet Chef Yves and your local guide at Dalí Museum in Figueres. Visit the museum and learn all about Dali's legacy from a very personal perspective. After the museum, explore the local food market and little fish shops together with your instructor Chef Yves. Inspired by Dalí's art, create a full menu to be elaborated in the hands-on cooking class. Having defined the menu with Yves's many dish options, drive to his private house. Enjoy a welcome drink and a snack before starting the cooking class. Get your apron, cutting board, and required tools to start with the cooking class. Then enjoy your meal paired with local wines. A taxi will drive you back to the Dalí Museum.
