I was kept informed by the website, leading up to our trip of the progress. Picked up outside our hotel. It was a little confusing with the other buses arriving, but finally came across ours. Arrived in Agios Nickolas, had about 1hr & 3/4 to look around and do our own thing, beautiful place lots to see and do, booked a Wednesday as they have a market on, which was quite fascinating. Back to the coach and on to Elounda agin dropped off to wonder or do what we wanted for 1hr &1/2, then met back at the bus drop off point, to be rounded up for our boat across to Spinalonga. Half hr later we arrived, but what disappointed me the most, as this was the place I most wanted to visit, we only had an hour, which to me wasn’t enough time to soak up atmosphere of the place, but you got an idea of how it most have been for those poor leprosy patients. During the whole trip I felt very time restricted and rushed. On the way back from the island the boat stopped for those who wanted swim about 20mins.

The trip was in general very good. We enjoyed all the places we visited and the combination of travel in the coach sightseeing and then on the boat was balanced by the calm enjoyment of coffee in Agios Nikolious and lunch in Elounda then the walking around the island of Spinalonga.

Very relaxing trip. Make sure you book it with Altino travel. We used them twice and found them very good at using smaller minibuses to speed up pick-ups. Walk around the lake and have a coffee/cake; treat yourself to lunch at the next stop (the baklava is amazing!); walk around the island and bring your togs for a swim - another must!
