Full description
Start your day with an early morning wake up as you head out from Cusco to Mollepata to enjoy a delicious breakfast to set you up for the day ahead. After breakfast, journey on to Soraypampa and marvel at the stunning scenic views of the snow-capped mountains, including Salkantay mountain which sits 6230 above sea level. Next, begin the 3 km walking hike to Humantay Lagoon which takes approximately 1 hour and 45 minutes. At the Lagoon, gaze at the stunning waters and catch your break at you take in these beautiful once-in-a-lifetime views. On your travel back to Soraypampa, relax in your private transport and watch out for the views along the way then enjoy a tasty local lunch before returning to Cusco.

Sadly I did not get to fully participate as I was having a very hard time catching my breath, more even than I would expect from altitude, found out the next day I had bronchitis go figure. The ride was really beautiful though. I will say, I *thought* I brought warm enough clothing but was wrong, I would say gloves even might have been in order

Nuestra guía en el tour (Alegría) fue increíble, siempre atenta y muy amable. Tuvimos una mala experiencia con la organización del tour porque nos cancelaron el día antes a las 8pm y luego pasadas las 9pm nos dijeron que el tour sí se iba a hacer. Días antes estuvimos tratando de confirmar si el tour se iba a realizar porque la municipalidad dijo que el paso iba a estar cerrado. Toda la desorganización y falta de claridad en la comunicación nos costó tiempo y dinero porque tuvimos que pagar otro tour a última hora cuando recibimos la cancelación. El tour como tal fue muy bonito, principalmente gracias a la guía Alegría, tenía una energía increíble, nos tomó muchas fotos y mantuvo al grupo informado y cómodo.

It was nice trip ... the hike is NO JOKE.. it's definitely a difficult hike despite of level of fitness ... there's horses you can rent to get you up there but it's definitely something to consider . I did more than half but the higher you go the more difficult it gets, so towards the end, I had to pay for a horse .. but it was an amazing hike once you actually make it up
