This is a remote trek but the long car journey was worth it. The trek takes you up close and personal with the Ausangate mountains. The facilities are basic and the community is only just getting set up for tourists but it is unspoilt and feels very authentic. Our guide, Bryan, was knowledgeable and passionate about the area. He made our trek a special one. We even managed a quick dip in the local hot springs which eased aching muscles.

Our guide Juanito is the best!!!!! I really enjoyed this tour, the hike was intense though. The lake is just like the pictures, amazing! The food was ok, drinks not included.

Broley, our tour guide was amazing and took such good care of all of us! This was a tough hike with the altitude but so cool to do.

Despite the chaotic conditions in Peru, everything possible was done to enable us to have a safe and pleasant trip, just great

Simple trip. Transport was great, guide also and the mountain was exceptional. Lunch and breakfast were great :)
