The tour was quite good, but not what we expected. Savannah is not a city with a robust Christmas atmosphere, we discovered. It’s nothing like St Augustine or even Key West. But the few houses that were lit up used very subtle white lights and it was pretty and refined. It was nice seeing the city at night even if it didn’t scream Christmas. We made two stops, one at a home-turned-museum and the second at the new hotel, shops and restaurants along the river. Both were worth stopping for even though most shops were already closed or closing. We were glad we took the tour.

We went caroling through town on a trolley lighted with holiday lights, making stops at the Davenport house for a Christmas traditions mini-tour and at Plant Riverside for a visit with Santa. It really gets you into the holiday spirit! If you aren’t a singer, jingle bells are available and encouraged.

The driver was great but we didn’t see alot if lights. The plastic in window helped stay warm but couldn’t take pics.

Rich was our guide. He made us laugh and sing! It was a lot of fun.

A fun festive way to spend a beautiful evening in Savannah!
