The guides were very knowledgeable and used an excellent communication system tying the CB radio into the Jeep’s radio so all could hear as well ask ask questions. If you are in the back seat it is more difficult to see the mountains tower above you. Due to recent rain the Denali HYW portion had lots of pot holes but the ride wasn’t bad considering. We did see a couple pairs of Trumpeter Swans, one pair actually chased a moose away which was funny to see. What scenery we could see below the often low clouds and rain was great. The road travels along a ‘middle moraine’ left after the side by side glaciers melted eons ago. That was special. Sadly the guide didn’t fully understand what it was, besides being formed by a glacier.

Although big wildlife seemed to hide from us, we still enjoyed our jeep excursion tremendously. A clear sky and great weather gave us multiple opportunities for pictures of Mt. Denali. We drove the Denali Highway, complete with ruts, rocks, potholes, and dust... and it was FUN! We did glimpse a porcupine and also stopped to watch and take photos of slender swans swimming with their cygnets. Our guides were great, showing good humor and their area knowledge, taking time to answer all questions. The excursion definitely made our Top 5 "things we did" when we visited the area in late July.

Very well organized with Joe as the lead and Anna as the closer. All new model Jeeps with contact between the entire group. 10 Jeeps in all. Very informative information given by both Joe and Anna and in the most polite and professional manner. Would highly recommend this tour to anyone. Age appropriate for everyone.
