What people are saying about Dover

The history represented in Dover Castle is well presented and easy to understand. The tour guides and staff were friendly and helpful. The site itself is beautiful and gives any visitor a good taste of English history. As an American visitor, I highly recommend you come see this wonderful place, but give yourself time for a thorough tour.

Dover Castle is an absolutely fascinating place to visit and there is so much to see. Not only do you have the war time tunnels and underground hospital, there are the medical tunnels, the remains of a roman lighthouse. We were very impressed and highly recommend it.

We did both the underground Hospital and the Operation Dynamo tours. The Hospital tour was definitely worth doing. The Operation Dynamo tour was more of a history in short video clips - disappointing. The Castle itself and the Battkements totally worth doing.

Worth every penny . A lovely castle to visit and lots to see . Views from the castle were lovely . The caves and hospital were very interesting .

It’s a fabulous day out, a must for history lovers. Only caution is lots of steep hills.
