Public transport in Dresden is well organized and it was therefore no problem that our hotel was quite far from the center. We have made ample use of the card. The last day was a Sunday and because it was raining quite a lot and our train home didn't leave until 1 am, we took refuge in a random tram, quiet and dry. Drove to the end point, took a short walk there and back to the center. That way we still saw something of the city before dark and we didn't have to spend all the time in cafes.

A very large exhibition in the middle of the old town of Dresden. If you are interested in the different means of transport, be it car, motorbike, plane, ship or the good train, then a visit here is definitely recommended. You can find many models and even in mini format there is a lot to see. There is background information for each piece, so that at the end of the exhibition you can access a wealth of knowledge about history. I would definitely go again.

The difference with this activity comparing to others of this type, is that you have to use basic mind abilities like imagination, logic, observation and sometimes combinatorial thinking which make it really unique. We enjoyed it at maximum. Highly recommended!

City Card is a recommendation because you can get through the entire city without stress. Just get on no matter what, bus or train and off you go. Plus more perks.

Dresden is very well equipped with public transport connections. You can go anywhere. Depending on where you live, you don't need 3 days.
