ATV Driving is fun but not as easy as it looks. I found it hard to stay on the road and I actually derailed a few times because I went down the hill. Make sure you press a lot of gas when driving- that is the only way you will drive smoothly. If you ultimately fail at driving the ATV to the destination (sand boarding) like me, then you will ride in a car that will bring you to sand boarding and back to the starting point as well. The car ride was very fun! As for the camel ride, it was pretty short- I was in the front so it wasn’t that bumpy- I heard it was bumpy in the back. It says in the voucher we bought that we can feed the camels but that wasn’t available- the camels were wearing masks. Also the bbq buffet was yummy and there’s a lot you can experience at the camp like henna tattoo, buying souvenirs, taking pics with a falcon, trying Arabic tea/coffee, and there’s like 3 performances. I wish there was belly dancing but there wasn’t :( but overall it was still a great experience!

Planning Your Visit

  • How many days should you spend in Dubai?

For non-architects, three to four days will be plenty of time to see everything you need to see. Be very mindful of when you choose to visit. The weather gets very hot between May and September, and uncomfortable if you aren't used to the desert heat.

You will have your choice of impressive hotel rooms in this city. For the more budget-conscious travelers, know that you won't have to miss out just because you can't afford to stay at the fancier places! Plan ahead for experiences at Dubai's luxury hotels. Make dinner reservations at Burj Al-Arab, or stop by for an afternoon cocktail (and view of the Burj Khalifa) at The Address Downtown Dubai.
