I am irish and have been to these places many times throughout childhood. However my 6 year old son and husband (who is American) have not. I picked this railtours as it was great value for money and we could see lots without having to rent a car or book accommodation and it was also child friendly. The guide was great he had loads of knowledge ,and we got to see loads in one day! I'm also 6 months pregnant, and it was great that there was loads of time to rest between each excursion due to the coaches and the time being allocated well at each place we visited. Every route the driver took had lots to see along the way also and the tour guide filled in about lots of the history. As someone who's irish, it's great to go on a tour that presents ireland in a way that made me proud and I'll recommend railtours to family and friends. Go raibh maith agat agus beannachtaí !

This was the best tour and experience on our trip! Brendan was a wonderful guide! He kept us on time, was very communicative and clear about our agenda, and the stories he shared during the journey were intriguing and kept us engaged throughout. It was a perfect blend of the key points to see in the Irish countryside from Cliffs of Moher, Doolin, Galway and the Burren was a welcome surprise addition. We highly recommend it to anyone looking to see these key highlights and learn about the history through story telling.

This tour was great! I most enjoyed time spent exploring the Cliffs of Moher (even though it was rainy and windy) and the stories our guide Terence told throughout the bus ride. It was a long day as many other reviewers mentioned so come expecting that. Consider bringing cash, a rain jacket, snacks, water your phone charger, and something to read or a game to play to pass the train commute time. You'll enjoy it!
