Grand Canyon West & Hoover Dam Combo Tour

2. Grand Canyon West & Hoover Dam Combo Tour

This amazing day includes a wonderful tour of Hoover Dam followed by 3 full hours at the Grand Canyon West Rim on the Hualapai Reservation. Hoover Dam is located in Black Canyon on the Colorado River.  It’s an outstanding achievement, noteworthy not only for its enormous dimensions, complex design and intricate construction, but also for its illustration of man's outstanding ability to overcome the desert's summer sun, the vagaries of a treacherous river, and the extreme hazards of the great heights of the canyon’s sheer walls. This tour includes breathtaking views from the Top of the Dam, Lake Mead, the world's largest man-made lake, the eastern edge of the chasm in Arizona where you have fabulous views of the dam. In addition, you will walk across the top of the Dam into Arizona where there are wonderful photo ops of the new Hoover Dam Bridge. As a bonus, stop at a local park where herds of Big Horn Sheep often come down from the surrounding mountains to gather and graze on the sweet grass. Cross the beautiful High Desert of Arizona and visit the incredible 900 year old Joshua Tree Forest, Eagle Point & Guano Point (with 3 hours to explore the most beautiful natural locations at the rim of the Grand Canyon). You’ll have a romantic lunch at the rim and see Native American Dwellings. This is the “family outing” of a lifetime!

I was staying at the Linq but the tour picked up at The Flamingo. The distance walking there wasn't horrible but exactly where the tour picked up wasn't terrible self-evident. We just got there a little early to give ourselves time to figure out it. They had snacks for us which was cool and the bus was pretty comfy. Didn't take too long to pick up the other guests from other other hotels. I though the breakfast wasn't too bad but not worth $15. We made another stop just for a restroom break and if I could do it again I'd have just bought snacks there in lieu of paying for their breakfast. Our tour guide Gia was VERY knowledgeable and kept us pretty engaged all the way to the canyon. The views were beautiful, there wasn't a terrible amount of walking or anything like other tours I've done which is good. It was also a good time of year because I think it may have been 40 degrees but with the sun it wasn't super cold and I got to avoid the 100+ degree heat of summer.

A full day tour by bus from Las Vegas out to the Grand Canyon. After just over 3 hours we arrived at the Last stop. After that, the bus drove into the area and on to Eagle Point for photo sessions and eating lunch. A guided walking tour of the area by our lovely guide Gia, who tells about the different dwellings of the indigenous population. Onward by bus to Guano Point which offered more beautiful views of the Grand Canyon before the return trip to Las Vegas. Our trip took place on a very hot day, which was unfortunately also noticeable in the bus on the return journey, as the air conditioning worked very poorly in the back of the bus.

Amazing! David, the tour guide, is very knowledgeable and shared so much information. He was very organized and kept everyone informed and safe. The pick up was on the dot, packed breakfast, lunch sandwiches and cold water were available. Nelson, the driver was quiet and efficient. Very professional team and tour. Had a really great time! and the Grand Canyon never fails to amaze! awesome in every way imaginable. Definitely will recommend

I travel from California to Arizona often. So my daughter I decided to get a tour to the grand canyon. We choose this agency for a the tour. Brandon was one of the best tour person. His knowledge of the tour and scene and years was on point. Knowing everyone name was key to me. I didn't felt like just a customer. He was funny and polite. Nelson is one of the best drivers I seen to drive a bus like that. Keep up the good job.

We knew this was going to be an all day tour! It was so worth it. We had an amazing time seeing the sites. We went on the walking tour and it was great. The sites were breathtaking!!
