Everything went great and worked, the guides at the stops are extremely friendly and competent. At first we couldn't believe that for just under 20 € you could really drive 7 days, but it's really like that. Unreservedly recommended.

Tour guide was amazing and very informative and helpful. Pre-booked tickets beforehand to include Edinburgh Castle Holyrood Palace and Royal Britannia. Note last place closed at 3pm. Also hop on tours end at 4pm in winter.
