Enjoy a full-day tour of the Scottish Heartlands departing Edinburgh and traveling in small groups for a more intimate experience. You will take a scenic drive through Perthshire, looking at the lochs and glens of the Highlands. Cross the Forth Road Bridge, passing one of Scotland's great engineering wonders, and continue into the Kingdom of Fife. Pass Loch Leven Castle, where Mary Queen of Scots was imprisoned. You will also pass Perth, before crossing the Highland Boundary Fault line. Surrounded by beautiful scenery, on the banks of the River Tay, visit the cathedral town of Dunkeld and the Hermitage, to take a fantastic woodland walk up to the Black Linn Falls. Stop at the Victorian resort town of Pitlochry, and visit the great shops and restaurants, or take a stroll down towards Loch Faskally. See the unmistakable peak of Schiehallion, and beyond to the mountains of Glencoe. Continue alongside Loch Tummel, and head past the spectacular 16th-Century Castle Menzies towards the town of Aberfeldy and Dewars Whisky Distillery. After enjoying a dram of the "water of life", the tour returns to the lowlands and back to Edinburgh at approximately 6:30 PM.

An amazing trip with an oustanding guide. Grant made this trip, he gave us so much information about the areas we visited such as Dunkeld Cathedral, The Hermitage, Queens View pitlochry and the finale Dewar’s Aberfeldy Distillery. Grant's music selection, jokes, and general wit and charm where outstanding, the experience was incredible.

THIS TOUR WAS EXCEPTIONAL! Reasonably priced. Highly recommend it. Our tour guide Jim Scott was great. Hilarious guy. Could've sat in the bus for 9,5h and do nothing and it still would've been great. He told us lots of interesting stories and facts, played music, gave tips and recommendations (where to eat, drink, what to visit) and they all were spot on. The day passed quickly, but we didn't feel rushed. Sights were beautiful. The nature there really is something to see. Whether it rains or shines, it's beautiful. Dewar's distillery was also really great experience. Interesting, informative and the tasting (especially from the cask) was eye-opening. Loved everything about the tour! Gladly would go again.

Great tour

Our guide was the “wee” Pete, according to him. He was knowlegeble and with a great sense of humor. The tour included many destinations to show the beauty of the Highland. Unfortunately it did not consider the possibility of traffic which we encountered, thus shorten our time in some of the destinations. However, all the stops we went were beautiful and worth seeing. Again, Pete was great, he provided tons of information along the way and answered to some of our specific questions. I can tell he was doing his best to make our experience wonderful. Thank you Pete. I suggest that perhaps remove one of the stops in this tour to give other stops more time to improve the quality of the visit. I felt a bit rushed except the whisky tour.
