Pick up by the guide was a bit chaotic, but the explanation with facts under the Eiffel Tower was instructive. Access without queuing is an illusion. but there is a kind of 'priority lane'. The trip up is without the guide. On the 2nd floor you have to transfer to the elevator top. There is no 'priority lane' there, just queuing with everything else. Every movement between the floors is queuing up to take the elevator. But given the setting, the weather didn't really bother us. Was exceptionally busy perhaps due to Ascension weekend. Boat trip was busy, only able to find a seat downstairs outside. There is no sound from the guide. There you only see 1 side of the tour at the level of Île de la Cité and therefore Notre Dame not seen from the water...

Our tour was led by Remy, a half-French, half-American guy with perfect English, my friend kept saying that it didn't matter how I paid for this tour, it was worth every penny, he was knowledgeable, funny, humorous, and very passionate about France and it's history, the tour was very fun and time flew by, I really enjoyed it.

Amazing host Thiery!! Made us feel very welcome and shared lots of history about the Eiffel Tower! Highly recommend, I couldn’t imagine doing this without our wonderful host!

Marcel was a thoroughly knowledgeable guide who kept the party interested during the tour. He also very kindly took pictures before going up the tower
