Full description
Day 1: After an early departure from Eilat and crossing into Jordan, travel 2-3 hours along the scenic mountain route and through the desert to Petra, one of the Seven Wonders of the World – briefly stopping for an overview. Pass the Obelisks in front of the cave tomb, then enter the narrow, 1,200 meter long canyon, the Siq, with an option to ride for the first few hundred meters. Walk through a gorge with the towering red stone on either side and marvel at the incredible sites carved into the red mountain. The Deir (temple) will dwarf over you, forty meters high with columns reaching more than two storeys tall. See the Roman theater and its uniquely designed tombs, along with the sacrificial altar. Then, after dinner in Petra you will have a free evening.  Day 2: In the morning spend free time exploring Petra on your own and enjoy the Bedouin market. Begin the return journey after lunch, and stop at a number of observation points to enjoy scenic views of the desert landscape and of Wadi Rum, before crossing to Eilat.

Trip well worth of monet

Good guide but too many people in a group which made waiting with the officials too long and dimished time in Petra too short. Schezule offered many surprises some nice one like sleeping in the desert camp hotel. Even liked more if known things better before. No guide in Wadi Rum but Jeep drivers participated tour programme almost like ones.

Our guide explained that he changed the days around going to Wadi Rum first which is a shorter day as it always take so long to get through the border. In this way the group was able to spend a whole day in Petra with the option to go to the monastery which entails 3 more hours of walking. This seems like a good option.

Our time was stolen

There was not any hotel pick up for us though it was said to be included and was settled by the local tour operator. We waited 2 hours for that and we telephoned 3times during our wait. At the first two occasions we was told to wait because the pick up is on its way for us to Prima music hotel where we was told via previous email to wait for our pickup from 7 am. At the third call (by the way all the tree calls and the previous email were made by us not the agency) we was told to rush to the border by taxi somehow. We paid for that and nobody was willing to refund our extra taxi cost. We waited 2,5 hours at the border. After crossing the border our bus broked down so we waited an additional hour for replacement. The guide was not aware what tour and hotel we paid for. Ee paid for staying in Petra overnight so as to have enough time on the second day, to investigate it. But there was not enough hotel room for us therefore we must go back to Aqaba and visit Wadi Rum... service we pa
