    Discovered in the early 19-century, Petra was named as one of the 7 Wonders of the World in 1985. You’ll understand why once entering through the Siq. Seeing the Treasury for the first time is breathtaking. The workmanship and sheer size of it will amaze you. Explore Petra and see facades, tombs, a Roman theater, and burial caves. See how the Nabateans controlled all the water of the region and marvel at the great water cisterns they built. A driver will pick you up from your hotel in Eilat in the morning. After about 3-hours you will arrive at Petra to enjoy the sights and tour with your personal guide. Dine at a local restaurant and try an extensive selection of oriental dishes. You will arrive back at your hotel in the evening.

    Overall quite smooth. Received confirmation immediately. A few hiccups.. was given a different driver’s name and number ahead of time on WhatsApp than the one we ended up meeting. When arrived, we were told a French tour guide had been arranged for us, even though we only ever corresponded in English, and never requested a French guide… maybe jt was assumed because we are from Canada? Having said that, our driver Alaa was amazing, and they were able to pivot and find a local English Guide who was good. Overall, I would still recommend them. 4 stars!!

    One day trip to Petra from Eilat was excellently organised and planned . The pick up , crossing at the border and handover to local team in Jordan and then drive to Petra and Guide and the overall visit and then lunch and drive back so that we can cross the border in time. precision. The guide , driver and handling agent at the border all did marvellous job and very courteous. One day tour is taxing but if you do not have the then it is fine. We saw the whole Monument. Absolute must do.

    The 2-day tour is preferable, the value is similar and it has more activities, we take the private tour because we went with our 1-year-old son but it does not have much difference with the group tour. They take them to the same places, have lunch in the same restaurant, all the same.
