The journey to Lipton's Seat is breathtaking once you enter the tea plantation and the premises as you coast through rolling green hills of tea leaves. Our driver Sanju was super efficient and let us stop to take photos whenever we wanted. However once we got to Lipton's Seat, the mist prevented us from being able to see the panoramic views so we had a samosa from the local cafe to pass the time. The tour at the tea plantation was massively disappointing. It was difficult to hear our tour guide from all the noise and after travelling 40 minutes by tuktuk to the factory, it was very anti climactic. We were simply whisked around in 20 minutes with little opportunities for questions, given a basic summary of what the different rooms did and before we knew it, the tour had ended and we found ourselves back in their tea shop. The half day was expensive for what it was - a ride to Lipton's Seat and a brisk and basic walk around the tea factory.
