The guide started off promising but then stuck on a recording of herself and just seemed to disappear. The timing of the recording was out of sunch with the tour so sometimes tricky to follow the sight names. Rest of boat crew were very friendly. Need more seating at the pier and a snack kiosk with drinks as no sun canopy/shade at all so if an hour early, like us, you’ll fry and be very thirsty. Drinks on the boat were nice and cold. Spent a good amount of time near the Statue of Liberty. Boat was clean. If a hotel possibly a 3 star. Good tour overall and great that they encouraged people to share the view and not hog the sides as some were prone to doing. I would recommend but take own snacks and drinks.

You want to get there early so you can be one of the first in line to get an outside deck spot. Watch out for the exhaust when you first leave port! It’s black and smelly. A side rail will give you a sweet spot outside and a bit away from the exhaust and a spectacular view. The guide is hard to hear outside, but the view makes up for it. For the price it is a very nice way to get out on the water and see the sites. You shouldn’t expect fancy at that price. But I don’t own a boat so this was a great inexpensive way to get out on the water. The bar/food is cash only so FYI

The description says live guide.. there was a guide on board selling souvenirs but all of the information given over the speakers was pre recorded and not live. Couldn’t hear the recording very well when outside on the front deck. Plenty of time to take photos though, and a great view of the skyline/ Statue of Liberty!
