What people are saying about Ellis Island National Museum of Immigration

Overall, it was a wonderful tour package. We had 11am admission tickets for the 911 Memorial and Museum. The experience is very heavy, first hand accounts from survivors and honors for those who were lost. We used the audio tour option on our smart phones and made our way around, it took just over an hour. From there we walked to Battery Park and met Vivian, our tour guide for the State of Liberty/Ellis Island tour. My only gripe was we were no able to go into the Statue of Liberty, apparently it requires another ticket but we were not aware of that and it was too late to purchase a ticket when we were on the island. Vivian was wonderful, very informative and friendly. I would recommend this tour to others.

Our tour guide was a sixty something short Jewish ball of energy that was very engaging, enthusiastic and audible from a distance. I hope you get her. The tour is a bit of a marathon. We bailed out when we returned to the mainland “that’s the island of Manhattan” and got lunch from a food truck before doing the 911 museum on our own. The get your guide tour does not include pedestal access although it states that it does. I would do the trip again. PS A Man wrote this :)

Great guide, all to myself. Everything is well organized.

We loved our tour guide! Very fun and knowledgeable!
