Departing from a central location in Palermo, you will drive up Mount Eryx to Erice, a spectacular hill town with a web of atmospheric streets. An important religious site, it soon became associated with the goddess Venus. Wander through its tangle of ancient streets and visit some of the cake shops, world-famous for their marzipan candies and delicacies such as almond and pistachio pastry.
