Located in Sintra Village itself, the Royal Palace was inhabited continuously from the 15th century through the late 19th century, and was the summer playground of Portuguese royalty. You'll quickly identify the palace's hallmark conical chimneys, and appreciate the rich collection of azulejos, or glazed tiles. As with the rest of Portugal, Sintra takes its sweets very seriously. Follow the crowd up a narrow nearby street to Piriquita. Since 1862, this popular confectioner and café has served up sumptuous cakes and pastries. The feast of the senses continues as we pass through the lush gardens of Parque Natural Sintra-Cascais, making our way to Cabo da Roca (from 1st March to 31st October), the westernmost point in continental Europe. Then soak in ocean sights as we journey along the coast, passing Guincho Beach, a windsurfing favorite, and Boca do Inferno, a natural grotto created by the sea. Upon reaching Cascais, you'll enjoy the panoramic view overlooking the bay. Then we'll return through Estoril, 'the Protuguese Riviera', with Europe's largest casino and its beautiful gardens.

Discover Sintra, known for its many 19th-century Romantic architectural monuments, which has resulted in its classification as a UNESCO World Heritage Site.  Surrounded by the mountains which gave its name to the town, a granite massif 10 km long emerges abruptly between a vast plain to the north and the northern margin of the Tagus River estuary.  Walk through the historical village center, enjoy its natural beauty and visit its most prominent landmarks: the Pena Palace, the Moorish Castle, the Regaleira, and Monserrate Palaces. Sintra Old Town After concluding your visit we’ll head towards the historical centre of Sintra, where we take the opportunity to do a short walk, visiting the streets and alleys of the old town, until we reach the National Palace of Sintra, and taste the traditional regional sweets, the unmissable”Travesseiros” and “queijadas”. Lunch / Cabo da Roca On the way to Cabo da Roca we gonna stop for lunch at a typical restaurant in the region. Afterwards we will visit the most westerly point on mainland Europe, Cabo da Roca provides an unrivalled panoramic view out over the immensity of the Atlantic Ocean. The imposing lighthouse, with its tower finished in white tiles and with a red walkway, stands out as one of the oldest in Portugal. Bear Beach (optional) Located a just little north of Cabo da Rocha, mainland Europe’s most westerly point, this sandy cove has a dramatic and wild beauty The path which winds down the hill from the car park can take up to an hour, in this case we just go to a panoramic point to appreciate the superb landscape, dominated by the enormous rock formations that exist on the beach. It owes its name precisely to one of these rocks, whose shape is of a bear. At the end of the visit, we strongly recommend a short stop at a local cafe with a remarkable view. Cascais / Boca do Inferno At the end of our walk we will head towards Cascais, more specifically Boca do Inferno (Hell’s Mouth) which is one of the most emblematic viewpoints in Cascais. The name given to this place is due to its morphology and the impact of the high waves that are felt there in winter. Visit historical center of Sintra, once the hunting residence of the Portuguese kings and now an important cultural heritage site. This tour takes you along to Cabo de Roca, the westernmost point of mainland Europe, where you will have the opportunity to take some photos before continuing on to Cascais and Estoril, Lisbon's trendy seaside resorts. On this panoramic tour, you will explore some of the picturesque districts of Lisbon, such as Baixa, the city's downtown, Rossio Square, and drive from there to Comércio Square. Visit the Hieronymites Monastery - see the church and take the opportunity to get a closer look at the cloister. You will then visit Belém Tower, Lisbon's famous landmark located on the Tagus River. There, you can see a copy of the airplane that the Portuguese pilots Gago Coutinho and Sacadura Cabral rode in for the first aerial crossing of the South Atlantic in 1922. The final highlight on this tour is the Monument to the Discoveries, a 60-meter monument built in 1960. There, you can admire over 30 statues that were erected in honor of Portuguese navigators.
