Half-Day Etyek Wine Tour from Budapest with Meal

1. Half-Day Etyek Wine Tour from Budapest with Meal

Your half-day tour begins with a pick-up at your hotel in an air-conditioned minibus. Enjoy a drive to the Etyek wine region, just a half hour outside Budapest. En route you’ll learn about Hungary’s fascinating history and hear about the country’s long and rich wine tradition. After arriving in Etyek village, you’ll visit 2 unique wineries. These small, family owned boutique wineries produce about 15,000 to 20,000 bottles of wine each year, mostly sold in selected restaurants and from their cellars. Tour the cellars and taste 4 wines at each of the wineries. Finish the day with a rustic, 3-course home-cooked meal. Savor classic Hungarian dishes and discuss your wine discoveries as you enjoy your meal, perhaps enjoying some wine with your food. After the tour and meal, you’ll be transferred back to your hotel in Budapest.

What people are saying about Etyek

We really enjoyed the whole experience. Myself and my husband were in a group with 3 other couples. Was great to meet lovely people from the USA and Switzerland. We all felt like friends at the end of the tour. We visited 3 small vineyards, tasting 4 wines at each one. The 3rd one we also enjoyed a delicious home cooked Hungarian meal. The wines were fab and the company also. Peter our tour guide was such a lovely guy, he was very knowledgable on the history of the area and winemaking and chatted to us the whole way there and throughout the tour. Can’t thank everyone involved enough for being so hospitable.

Exit outside Budapest which allows you to discover the outdoor landscapes and the pleasures of the serenity of the wine villages. Very nice welcome. A great discovery of the wine-growing talents of Hungary.

Susan our guide was a very friendly, informative and fun person who made our trip worthwhile. We would recommend this tour to anyone interested in learning about Hungarian wines.

It was a great experience with good wine and good food. The guide was very nice and also knew his way around very well. Really recommended for wine lovers

What a fantastic tour... the wine was outstanding but so was the scenery, the conversations, and our guide Tamas.
