We highly recommend this tour and our guide. He took us to a very interesting family run pottery business, to see the process for producing fine handcrafted ceramics He was knowledgeable of the midevil village of Monsaraz, giving us a lot of information as we arrived and giving us some time to explore on our own. Afterwards he arranged a wine tasting from a nearby local winery that had won several awards for their wine and had a unique underwater process. Enjoyed our trip very much. Got lots of interesting local information.

This was an excellent half day excursion from Evora. It was very well organised and professional. The guide was extremely knowledgeable of the area and the small group meant there was plenty of opportunities for individual questions. Monsaraz is amazing and the views from the top of the castle are breathtaking. The visits to a local family pottery and a winery were both very interesting and informative and very much added to the experience of visiting the area around Evora.

João was an amazing guide! He speaks excellent English and knew so much about the area and how agricultural plays such an important part of the Alentejo. The stop at the pottery shop was amazing and so cool to see the traditional process. Monsaraz was incredible. The views and the village were unforgettable! The wine tasting was a nice finale and the scenery to and from Evora was great. João is a very engaging person and knows his stuff! Would definitely do it again with visitors!
