Start with pickup from the meeting point in Larnaca and travel to the city of Famagusta. Upon arrival discover some of the most historic landmarks of the city and the surrounding areas with your expert guide. Visit the Monastery of Saint Barnabas and the ancient city-kingdom of Salamis (entrance fees are not included). Then, continue to the ancient town center of Famagusta and explore the Venetian fortifications which surround the town. Visit optionally the Gothic Church of Saint Nicolas and Othello Castle (entrance fees are not included in the price). Then, take some free time to explore the area, sightseeing, shopping, and lunch (optional, not included in price). After exploring the city, head down towards the beach area where you can see "Ghost Town" beside a long stretch of golden sand with crystal clear water. Take some free time to relax on the beach and for some swimming and visit the newly opened part of Varosha, the Ghost Town, before driving back to Larnaca.

Take an exciting in-depth view of Famagusta and learn about the city's ongoing state of affairs with the Ghost Town and the illegal occupation of the Northern territories. Start your tour with a pickup by your friendly guide at your accommodation. After a short meet and greet you will set off on your journey. Start by seeing Famagusta as it is considered today: an abandoned ghost town. Get some insight into the history of the area by watching a short film showcasing Famagusta before the invasion. Then, continue on your adventure to the border and drive along the fence which surrounds this once glamorous city. You'll arrive on the area's renowned sandy beach and get a closeup view of the deserted hotels that line the coast. Get some time to stroll the streets of the ghost town to see the abandoned hotels, homes, and shops. Next, you'll circle the moat of the old gothic city where the castle walls tower over you. Before the end of the trip, enjoy time to explore the city within the castle walls where 356 churches and cathedrals once stood. Witness centuries of history that have gone by. 

The first stop will be Choirokoitia for a coffee break ( no visit to the archeological site of Choirokitia) before continuing to Strovilia check point (passports necessary) to cross the United Nations Green Line. We will arrive at the monastery of St Barnabas which has now been converted into a museum housing icons and other religious artefact. We will also see the tomb of St Barnabas. We continue to the ancient Kingdom of Salamis built in the 12th Century BC and visit the amphitheatre and gymnasium. We arrive in the city of Famagusta with its many Gothic churches and surrounded by Venetian walls. There will be time to visit the Cathedral of St Nikolaos built in 1312 and converted in 1570 into a mosque as well as free time for sightseeing, shopping, and lunch (not included). Finally, we will view from the bus the “Ghost Town – Varosi”(no visit) to see the abandoned houses and hotels which have been closed off behind wire since 1974 and admire the best sandy beaches of the island

Pickup is between 07:45 - 8:25 AM from your starting point. Drive towards the Strovolia checkpoint and cross into Northern Cyprus.  A short drive close to the ghost town will help to give you an idea of the invasion of 1974. There will be some free time to explore the old town of Famagusta with the majestic Gothic Cathedral of Saint Nicholas, the big square, and the vibrant cafes, streets, and shops. Continue to Bellapais Abbey for and marvel at the breath-taking views over the coast of Kerynia. At Kerynia, there will be free time to visit Kerynia castle, stroll along the picturesque harbour or to enjoy lunch or coffee in one of the numerous taverns at the sea (optional extra, not included). In the afternoon, return via the checkpoint Strovilia to your starting point. You will arrive back at approximately 6:30 PM.

A Jeep safari to the green landscape of the Troodos Mountains is a must during your holiday in Cyprus. Travel deep inside the island’s interior to see and experience villages and forested landscapes not often visited by average tourists. Your adventurous itinerary uses a combination of small asphalt roads and well-maintained dirt tracks to bring nature and culture together.  See and experience the best and most authentic side of Cyprus, enjoy meeting the locals and gaze upon breathtaking views from the mountain summits. Take short walks through traditional villages with their narrow streets and stone architecture, and feast upon scrumptious local delicacies. You will also have the chance to light a candle in a medieval stone-built church with fresco wall paintings. Then, visit one of the many fantastic natural waterfalls that have ice-cold water cascading down their rocky cliffs. Take in this paradise-like spot with its cool spring waters and lush vegetation surroundings. Lunch is optional and can be enjoyed in a traditional family-run restaurant.

Enjoy the day both on land and on the water on a surf and turf tour of Cyprus's east coast. Your tour will begin with a ride in a jeep safari taking you to your first stop at Aiya Napa's Love Bridge, a natural white rock formation. From here you will head further off-road to the famous sea caves. These caves are a popular destination where the brave at heart can take a dive into the depths of the sea cave's crystal clear waters. Your journey continues to the top of Cape Greko with a 10-minute trek to the crest. As the most eastern point of Europe, where a 360-degree view of the Mediterranean Sea awaits you. Take in the breathtaking views of the scenic landscape and enjoy the refreshing sea breeze. After your trek, you will make a quick stop at the natural bridge of Koraka for some photos and then go to a hidden cave originally used as a church by the locals. It now serves as a diver’s paradise. Above the cave, you will see the blue and white chapel of Agioi Anargoiroi which replaced the former cave chapel. Head to the seaside to embark into the water on a luxurious boat. Enjoy a 3-hour cruise while viewing the stunning eastern coast of Famagusta. Cool off with a dip in the crystal clear waters of the blue lagoon and build up an appetite for a delicious delicious lunch.

Pickup will be at 8:00-8:25AM from your accommodation, at which point you will drive towards the Strovilia checkpoint to cross the line to the occupied north. From there, a short drive close to the Ghost Town will provide you with an idea of the invasion of 1974. All houses and hotels in this fenced sealed-off area of Famagusta cannot be entered. Free time will then be given to explore the old town of Famagusta including the majestic Gothic Cathedral of Saint Nicholas, the big square, and the vibrant cafes and narrow streets, complete with shops. You'll then continue to the Bellapais Abbey to visit and marvel at the breathtaking views over the coast of Kerynia. Once at Kerynia, free time will be given so that you can visit Kerynia Castle, stroll along the picturesque harbor, or enjoy lunch or coffee in one of the numerous taverns at the sea (lunch is not included in the price). In the afternoon you'll return via the checkpoint, returning to your tour starting point at 6:00-6:30PM.

First, visit St. Barnabas Monastery which is now an icon museum and the tomb of St. Varnabas. Then, drive to see the ancient city of Salamis which dates back to BC and has the largest Roman amphitheatre in Cyprus. Next, travel to Othello’s Tower, where Shakespeare was inspired to write his famous play "Othello." Then, head to St. Nicolas Cathedral, which is now known as Lala Mustafa Mosque and built in the French Gothic style. Afterwards, have some free time within the old city for shopping or more sightseeing.  Your adventure will continue with a visit to the ghost town city of Famagusta. The city has been abandoned since 1974 due to the political issues between the two sides of Cyprus.  You will then be dropped off at your accommodation at the end of tour.
