Leave the coast and enjoy a beautiful drive through the Gorges du Loup with its 40 meter high waterfall. Stop in Castellane, gateway to the Gorges of the Verdon, nestled at the foot of its famous rock. Drive along the Verdon river, named after its startling turquoise-green color, up to the canyon which is considered to be Europe’s most beautiful. Enjoy the spectacular and breathtaking views overlooking the ravine which is up to 700 meters deep. Stop in Moustiers-Sainte-Marie, one of the most beautiful medieval villages in France which is known for its rich history in ceramic craftsmanship. Take time to enjoy a lovely meal and a stroll.

What people are saying about Fayence

This tour was one of our highlights of the Côte d'Azur. Joe was the perfect guide, very outgoing, told us lots of interesting facts about the area and gave us valuable tips and recommendations. We had an eventful and varied day. Surrounded by beautiful nature, it was a completely different side of this region. Fantastically beautiful landscapes. Joe gave us enough time at every point and you could tell how much he enjoyed showing us the region. As described, we were picked up punctually at the specified location and driven to the specified locations in a minibus of 8 people. The size of the group was perfect. The tour with Joe is highly recommended and we would do it again. A big thank you for the day!

Great tour with magnificent landscapes. Well organized. Good stopping points for the full experience. The driver very friendly, happy to take photos. However, he started the journey very quickly, which is perhaps a small minus point. In the course of the tour, his driving style became calmer. The pick-up service directly from the accommodation and the small group of only 7 people were also great. Conclusion: highly recommended. Take your bathing suit with you, there is a stop at the bathing beach (lake at the end of the gorge).

The tour with the guide named Laurent (he was a very good guide and had a lot of insider tips for us) is highly recommended. We were picked up in front of our hotel in Nice in an air-conditioned van and then we went straight to the mountains. Several stops at the Grand Canyon of Europe allowed us to take great photos and enjoy the spectacular scenery. Unfortunately we had to see empty lavender fields, but instead we stopped for a swim at a beautiful lake (so pack your bathing suit). All in all really recommendable!

Joe was a very passionate and friendly tour guide! He took us to many beautiful places and gave us lots of detailed background details. Also, it was very kind of him to work overtime for more than 1.5hrs, so we could spend more time in each stop. All in all, it was a be try unforgettable trip!

Very great tour of the Verdon Gorge and the adjacent small villages. Unfortunately, the lavender had already been harvested by now (end of July), so this part was omitted, but the guide made up for that with his good humour, his jokes and interesting facts!
