Full description

After a pick-up at your hotel or riad in Fez, head out on a guided tour of the medina, one of the world’s largest walled-in cities. Explore the narrow streets lined with shops selling fresh fruits, spices, intricately woven Berber carpets and numerous other art and craft items from Morocco. Visit the Quaraouiyine Mosque, founded in 859 by Fatima el Fihri and the Andalusian Mosque dating back to 860 (note that non-Muslims are not permitted to enter). Take in other sites including the Nejjarine Fountain, the Bouaanania Medersa, dating from the 13th century and the Batha Palace, which is now a museum of arts and traditions.

Nice tour of the Medina and the narrow streets. without our guide we would definitely get lost there. the guide was very friendly and knew a lot about the history of the city. we also went outside the Medina to see the panoramic view and a pottery cooperative which was really amazing. however, when we went to lunch he could have told us the price before we sit down (great lunch but a bit expensive). totally recommend

We were extremely lucky to have Redouane as our guide. The tour itself was nice and I recommend it as Fes Medina is quite chaotic and you can easily get lost. Also, walking with a guide helps avoiding people asking for money or to buy stuff as well saving a lot of time. Finally, ask for Redouane, he is extremely nice, kind and knowledgable guide. He knows a lot about the history of Fes and Morocco in general and also is extremely eager to answer to all of your questions. Highly recommend!

Our guide, Said, was just fantastic. Helped us with all the hustlers (keeping them away from us all the time), explained everything about the history of Fes, took us to a nice cooperative where they make pottery, and was overall so gentle and smart that I would suggest everyone to, whenever you book your tour, ask for him to be your guide. He's the king of the Medina! He knows everyone there, and showed us all the best spots. Thanks to him, our tour was unforgettable.
