Trou d'Eau Douce: Southeast 5 Island Adventure

Trou d'Eau Douce: Southeast 5 Island Adventure

Embark on a trip by speedboat and visit the entirety of Mauritius' southeast coast and the nearby islands in one day. The tour includes not only a visit to the famous Ile aux Cerfs island and the pristine cascade of the Grande River South East, but also to Ile aux Phares and Ile de la Passe, providing an opportunity to learn a bit of the history of Mauritius in the colonial period. The site of Ile aux Phares is where, as the name suggests, an old lighthouse dating back more than 200 years stands, now declared a historical monument. In 1810, Ile aux Phares and Ile de la Passe were the theater of a battle between the French and the British, known as the naval battle of Grand Port, which is the only victory of the Napoleonic Navy and is also listed on the Arc de Triomphe in Paris. In addition to the historic aspect of the islands, you will be made privy to a striking sight within the water. The contrast between both sides of the island is breathtaking: on one side you will find the lagoon turquoise and calm, and on the other, the big waves of the Indian Ocean smash against the breakers of the island. You will then go to Ile aux Aigrettes for a swim then back to Ile aux Cerfs, where lunch will be served. Relax and sunbathe or just chill out on the beach or in the crystal clear water of Ile aux Cerfs before returning to the meeting point in Trou d'Eau Douce.

This trip is a absolute must when visiting Mauritius!! We had a fantastic day, our guide/pilot was Oliver and he was fantastic. We had such a fun day visiting all the beautiful sites, being surrounded by the beautiful blue lagoon. We were so lucky that we came across a huge pod of dolphins and it was spectacular to see. Oliver kept the special Mauritian coffee flowing throughout the day!! The weather was amazing as well which made the trip even better, I tried snorkeling for the first time which was a great experience. We enjoyed the lobster lunch, the food kept coming and our drinks were topped up the whole time. We arrived at the Tino Boats office at 8.30am and were driven down to harbour, on the return they told us we would be dropped back at the office and the driver kindly dropped us back at our hotel as it was only 5 minutes away.

We had an amazing trip to the South despite the rain . Ridwaan our guide was so informative about the history of the island and pointing out places in route . We had a brilliant time at Les Valley des Couluers and spent more time there than planned but it was worth it . I had some questions before the trip anout bookings and he was able to provide support and advice promptly . Despite the rain Ridwaan deviated the route to try and see if we could take advantage of views at one of the viewing points but sadly there was too much mist . The transport was so clean and tidy and he had umbrellas for us all to walk to a viewing area . Would definitely recommend this trip and guide whilst on Mauritius. Thank you Alison

Amazing activity definitely value for money best activity we done in Mauritius. We saw monkeys, dolphins and whilst snorkelling encountered turtles. Amazing tour guide very knowledgeable and lovely and all islands we visited had different things to see. The lunch was also amazing and so was the service

We had a fabulous time at our excursion, our guide took us around the markets, explained the history behind everything and we also enjoyed tea tasting. I would definitely recommend.

Small group, enough time for snorkeling, super nice crew and delicious lunch! Everything was perfect! Thank you
