Full description

Depart Florence early in the morning and transfer to the Ligurian coast by air-conditioned coach. Cross 2 of Italy’s most scenic provinces as you pass the rolling hills of Tuscany for Liguria.  Upon arrival at Cinque Terre, transfer to the public train and travel up the coast for breathtaking views of the villages. The first stop of the day trip is the picturesque town of Vernazza. Enjoy some free time wandering by the fishermen’s boats docked daintily by the beach, colorful homes peppering the scenery, and an old house looming on the horizon. Continue by train to Monterosso, the largest town of the Cinque Terre. Wander around the charming town on your own and stop to taste the delicious flavors of Ligurian cuisine.

Go on an optional 45-minute-long light hike through the stunning scenery of Cinque Terre. Let your tour leader guide you through the terraced vineyards and ancient olive groves with spectacular panoramic views.

After the hike, return to Monterosso and relax at Fegina beach. Stroll along the promenade and stop to refresh yourself at one of the many restaurants, pubs, and ice cream shops. Then, climb aboard the train to Manarola and enjoy views of the tiny harbor, full of colorful boats and vibrant natural formations. Take your time to stroll around the area on your own and discover this beautiful village.

Had a very nice day trip under the guidance of Jessica! Clearly explained at each stop how long we were given free time and where to collect. She also named/showed the most important highlights per stop. I was with my mother who has more difficulty climbing slopes. Because you get free time per village and are not dependent on the rest of your group, you can skip climbing slopes (in Manorola, for example). Jessica was very nice and friendly and also answered all questions.

Was with Renata. Caring guide who took care of the 14 of us. Brief showers but it did not dampened our mood. We had fun photo grabbing at the spots in the towns that made CT famous. Lunch was Monterosso. Fabulous recommendation to a terrific meal with a view for reasonable price at il Casello. Glad we did this tour and leave all the hassles of planning and searching behind. Thank you Renata

I really liked the tour and that it is quite free so that one can get to know the towns at one's own time. It is a tour that I recommend and the guide was quite nice. The only thing I would change is that the tour ends a little later since I consider that it ends at 4:30 pm, it is very early and it would be good if it ended at least between 6 and 6 in the afternoon.
