Full description

Admire the must-see art masterpieces of all time held in the greatest museums of the city along with treasures kept inside one of the most beautiful cathedrals in the world.

Your guide will lead you first to the Accademia Gallery for total immersion in the art of Michelangelo. See his most renowned work “David”, and other important pieces such as ''I Prigioni'', ''San Matteo'', and “Palestrina Pietà”.

Then, follow your guide inside the Uffizi Gallery, one of the most famous art galleries in the world. Here you can admire numerous works of art by Botticelli, Michelangelo, Leonardo da Vinci, Raffaello, Giotto, Cimabue, Masaccio, and many others.

Among the precious exhibition halls of the Gallery, you can see the most renowned works by Botticelli, "Primavera" and "Birth of Venus".

Finally, after a break, you will reach Duomo square ready to admire the interior of the Cathedral. Once inside the Santa Maria del Fiore Cathedral, you will be immediately struck by the elegance of the spaces of the three naves.

Enjoy the beauty of the splendid marble choir of Bandinelli, the complexities of the stained-glass windows by Donatello, Ghiberti, and Andrea del Castagno, and the clock by Paolo Uccello. You will be also surprised to be able to walk on a marvelous, tile mural-like “carpet” of polychrome marbles.

Then, looking up, witness the immense precious interior of the Dome entirely frescoed by Vasari. Brunelleschi's famous Dome is the largest ever built in masonry fashion and the incomparable icon of Renaissance architecture.

We were brave and elected to take the three tours in a day. The Accademia was first, the checking was quite well organized and the guide was personable and knowledgeable and ensured we saw most of the major pieces in the gallery. We then went onto the Uffizi, the guide was spectacular, incredibly knowledgeable, funny, efficient and very proud of his city. He did a wonderful job of having us see the most important pieces in the gallery and provided some great information on the history and general stories on the artwork. From there we went to the Duomo tour. This tour was less then an hour and was a simple tour of the interior ground level of the cathedral. The guide did a nice job proving information on the wonderful history of the building and its architecture.

The Tour guides themselves were excellent and were obviously educated in the subject matter at the museums. Both museums were spectacular and we saw the highlights which is what we wanted from the tour. We did not rate this tour 5 because it was not a continuous tour and we had to make our own way to each venue to meet a new tour guide. We ended up forgoing the visit to the duomo as it would be in the afternoon. We assumed the tour would be complete in the morning.

Our guided tour was through CAF tours. We had two guides, both were knowledgeable and did a great job explaining all the art work. It was really nice to understand the meaning and essence behind the artwork which I would not have known without a guide. We had a good tour!
