Full description
Discover the most visited museums in Florence alongside a professional guide. Together you'll admire the exhibit's most important works as you appreciate the art of the Italian Renaissance. Your guide will take you through the priority entrance into both galleries without having to wait in the long lines. Throughout your experience your guide will be on hand to explain the most important works of art which are contained inside the museums. The first stop will be the visit to The Uffizi Gallery with its pictorial collections and masterpieces by artists and protagonists of the Renaissance such as Michelangelo, Giotto, Botticelli, Caravaggio, Leonardo da Vinci, and many others. Later, the guide will take you to the Accademia Gallery to discover the most famous Florentine symbol: Michelangelo's David. The gallery is one of the places with the highest number of sculptures by Michelangelo, and is a place where you can also admire the museum of musical instruments, the collection of golden-background paintings, and the Sala dei Prigioni with sculptures designed for Pope Julius II.

Christiano was a fantastic tour guide who had so much to teach us about the art works in Uffizi and Acadedemia. The tour was really good value and I would highly recommend it. It also made the entries to the museums so easy and it was a treat to see the wonderful art works from the greatest Italian artists.

Ufizzi Gallery with its master pieces and David in the Academia are a must when you visit Florence! Take a guided tour as we did, because it is impossible to know so much as your guide will tell you. For the Ufizzi Gallery our guide was Christian, who was excellent in telling the history of the most famous paintings with so many details. For the Academia and David tour our guide was Martina. We hade a sublime 90 minutes lecture for David, Michelangelo and the Academia. After the tour we've visited the chambers with musical instruments and saw old original keyboard instruments from Bartolomeo Cristofory. Fortunately our guide Martina has told us for those chambers, otherwise we would have missed them.

We chose the exclusive Uffizi tour - Renaissance and Academy section + David. We had a really great and passionate guide (Manuela) who moved us and was able to capture the attention of the kids (16 and 14) who were with us. She was also very helpful and “extended” the tour with descriptions of the three Caravaggio works that weren't included. In reality, it was an incorrect communication on the site which had indicated that the two visits (Uffizi and Accademia) would take place with a break during which the group could freely visit the Museum. Unfortunately this is not the case. The two tours follow one another and nothing is planned other than a visit to the second floor entirely dedicated to the Florentine Renaissance. Here, I would just ask you to fix this indication, otherwise everything was perfect, in particular, being able to skip the long waiting lines outside both museums.
