Full description

Explore the culture and architecture of Florence with a pre-reserved guided tour of Duomo Square in Florence. Save precious vacation time with priority entrance to the Cathedral of Santa Maria del Fiore, the Baptistery of St. John, and climbing to the top of Brunelleschi's Dome.

Meet your guide right at the heart of Duomo Square in Florence. Focus on the historical and cultural significance of the Cathedral of Santa Maria del Fiore and its complementary structures. Get priority admission to the octagonal Baptistery of St. John, best known for its ceiling decorated with golden mosaics and its gleaming bronze doors known as the Gates of Paradise.

Gaze at the relief work on the detailed panels and no doubt be surprised to learn that these are not the original bronze doors – the authentic East Doors are currently on display in the Museum. Continue to the Duomo Museum to see the original doors and masterpieces like Donatello’s sculptures, and Michelangelo’s Pietà. The last stop is Brunelleschi’s Dome. Climb up the famous dome by skipping the line, thanks to pre-reserved tickets that save your valuable vacation time.

Admire the wonderful frescoes of the Last Judgment by Giorgio Vasari and Federico Zuccari, still among the largest in the world.

Enjoy fascinating views of Tuscany and Florence as you soak up the best experience in the city.

We were lucky enough to do the tour with Rosella and without any other visitors. First we went to the Duomo Museum, where we saw many of the original sculptures, mosaics, etc., which we then found as copies in the cathedral, the baptistery, etc. The museum was very impressive and much more understandable with the explanation of our guide. Then we went to the baptistery and we got explanations about the cathedral and dome. Since we still had time, we were able to walk briefly to a neighboring church and to the column that shows the center of Florence and received information about it. Finally, the access to the dome. The ascent of the more than 400 stairs at 28 degrees outside temperature was quite sweaty, the observation of the inner dome and the view from the outer dome over Florence made up for everything. Rosella's knowledge of all the years, builders, architects, etc. was very impressive. All in all, a recommendable tour.

visit with a very learned private guide. Climb to the dome a little difficult but extraordinary to see the frescoes of the dome so beautiful. Arrived at the top, a magnificent panorama of the city and its hills. I was pleasantly surprised that getyourguide contacted me before the time of the appointment with the guide to confirm the point of contact with him. I recommend this booking platform because it is safe and reliable. and very effective.

made an impression

IIaria was sensational! I can only thank you again. With such a tour always happy to go. She really excited us for the old masters. Recommended. If you are afraid of heights, you should think about it. The inner galleries in the dome could then be difficult. But at the top you are compensated for it and the 460 steps are forgotten ... until the descent
