I am torn about my overall rating. I want to start by saying our guide was so sweet and extremely knowledgeable. However, even though she spoke very good English, her underlying accent was so strong we had a very difficult time understanding what she was saying. We were focusing so hard on trying to understand her words, we couldn't truly comprehend all of the information she was telling us. The tour itself felt rushed. It is definitely just highlights of the Baptistery, the museum, and other features, which is fine if we were allowed to go back to the museum later but the tickets are one and done even though it says good for 72 hours. Our tour started a little after 9 (she was a little late and we had trouble w headsets); it ended at 1040. A LOT of information in a short time. We were supposed get in line for the dome climb at 11,entry at 1115. We could have had 20 more minutes with our guide. The tour felt rushed. I did like being able to climb at our own pace.

Our guide was very knowledgeable and friendly. She took the time to really answer our questions and help us better understand the history behind Florence, art and religion. She was one of the most outstanding guides we had while traveling in Italy and we highly recommend our guide. (Unfortunately, I can't remember her name.) Take this tour, it will be well worth your time.

I was extremely excited to see the bronze doors and the duomo and the baptistery and to learn the detail and insights. I wish I knew before that most of the tour would be spent in the museum (the museum was fascinating though). She was really informative and provided some great insights. My teenagers thought the tour was really well done.
